What's in my bag?

Today was my first day at my new job. My first job in the UK! I'm super excited and also a little bit impressed with myself. I had hoped to land a job before the end of September and yay, I did!

So for the first time in weeks, I've had to pack a make-up bag for work. I tend to not take my superfancy high-end items with me for fear that they'd break, so I go for cheap alternatives, but tested and tried ones.
I also don't know how formal my new workplace is, so I tried to make an allrounder.

This is the bag I packed, it will probably get repacked a couple of times before the end of the month though.

I use a cute pink Claire's bag. It's a bit tacky but it's adorable and it also makes me feel a little bit cosmopolitan. ;)

A peek inside, you say? Sure.

I carry a powder and a kabuki. This powder is Essence PureSkin. I quite like it as it blots my skin nicely, but it's no match for Mac's blotting powder. I use that in the morning though, before I leave.

Then we've got a Catrice duo eyepencil in a flesh colour (waterline eye opener) and a brown (great for lining my eyes, but also for a brow touch-up).

Une Lip colour, which I've reviewed before, I believe. It's my perfect My Lips But Better colour and goes with anything so I find myself dragging it along everywhere. In addition to this, I tend to take the lip colour I chose to wear in the morning. Somehow I always end up with 5 different lipsticks in my bag after a week. xD

Bourjois Healthy Mix concealer. Multifunctional! Dark circles, blemishes, rosacea... all covered. :)

Mini The Body Shop Vanilla perfume. Because my favourite perfumes have vanilla basenotes. When they fade, I dab some of this on my wrists to stay fresh, without smelling like a perfume counter.

Biotherm deodorant. This stuff is amazing and deserves a review of its own. It's on my to-do list.

Essence nail polish remover wipes. I hate walking around with chipped nails. These wipes are not amazing with, but they do the job. Eventually.

Essie mini nail polish. This is quite a sheer pink.

Sample jar of Lush Lemony Flutter. Holy grail for cuticles and dry patches.

Kruidvat floss.

2B volume mascara. This is surprisingly good, actually. It doesn't clump and generally makes my lashes look a whole lot nicer.

Tampons. Yeah.

Catrice Ocean Sunrise lipgloss. This is a gorgeous semi-sheer pink with silver shimmer. However, it's not a shimmer overload which ensures it's still very professional.

Carmex lipbalm. Indispensable.

Claire's Coconut hand cream. This smells delicious. Bounty Island! Check the cool zebra print too. And the shiny metallic cap. It's just all kinds of awesome.

Hair clips and slides. Elastics too. I neve rhave one when I need one.

The tin is filled with aspirins and the like. Because you never know when you might need one.

I drag a lot of stuff with me, I realise that, but if I left any of these behind, I'd miss them. :(
